Consultant Required to Conduct Macro Assessment

1- Preamble

    World Vision is an International Humanitarian Organization active in emergency relief and long-term development programs in nearly 100 countries worldwide. World Vision Pakistan (WVP) has provided an unprecedented response to the earthquake affected people in the area of NWFP. We are no exploring the possibility for long-term child focused development program. As part of this process, WV Pakistan wants to conduct macro assessment for Pakistan with a special emphasis on NWFP.

2- Purpose of the Consultancy

• An in depth analysis of all identified sectors to help understand some of the key sectors/areas needed for long term development in line with WVP's country strategy will be provided when consultant identified.

• A through investigation to help understand various contexts in economic, social and political domains which will help identify stable locations to implement long term development strategy.

• A through identification of all stakeholders, presence and potential interest of donors including local/community, bilateral and multi-lateral donors to fund projects in the geographical area.

3- Assessment of Proposals

Consultants are required to demonstrate, and tenders will be assessed according to the following criteria.

• Soundness of the proposed methodology for undertaking the specific deliverables of the project.

• Demonstrated experience in undertaking projects of a similar nature.

• The relevant qualifications and experience of staff and personnel undertaking the project.

• Proven ability to prepare clear, concise, accurate and informative reports which include meeting the purpose of the consultancy.

• Ability to meet deadlines and complete the research work and submit final report within 30 days from the date of signing the contract.

• Tender cost and projected key task time-lines for undertaking and completing the project.

• Past performance of the consultants on tasks of a similar nature.
